Colosseo-Foro Romano-Palatino
The Colosseum archaeological park includes the Flavian Amphitheater, the area of the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill, the Domus Aurea on the Oppian hill, the Arch of Constantine and the Meta Sudans in the Colosseum valley. With more than 7 million annual visits, the site is among the most visited in the world and the first in Italy. The park preserves and enhances the most important archaeological evidence of the history of Western civilization, from the end of the Bronze Age to the contemporary age.

To fully enjoy this monument it is possible to go up to the Terrazza del Vittoriano. Two panoramic elevators in steel and glass, inaugurated in 2007, allow you to reach, in just 35 seconds, the highest point of the Vittoriano Complex which is located 80 meters above sea level on Piazza Venezia, and from which you can admire Rome from 360° and have fun recognizing buildings, churches and monuments of Rome. The view ranges from the magnificence of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums to the churches of the historic centre, from the Tiber River to the Jewish Ghetto, from Piazza del Campidoglio to the Quirinale and from the modern Eur district to the Castelli Romani.

Per godere in pieno questo monumento è possibile salire sulla Terrazza del Vittoriano. Due ascensori panoramici in acciaio e cristallo, inaugurati nel 2007, vi permettono di raggiungere, in soli 35 secondi, il punto più alto del Complesso del Vittoriano che si trova a ben 80 metri di altezza su piazza Venezia, e dal quale potete ammirare Roma a 360° e divertirvi a riconoscere palazzi, chiese e monumenti di Roma. La vista spazia dalla magnificenza del Colosseo e dei Fori Imperiali alle chiese del centro storico, dal Fiume Tevere al Ghetto ebraico, dalla Piazza del Campidoglio al Quirinale e dal moderno quartiere Eur ai Castelli Romani.
Campidoglio e Musei Capitolini
The Capitoline Hill is the delightful fruit of the genius of Michelangelo Buonarroti. In ancient times, the Capitoline Hill was a sacred hill: seat of the political and religious power of the empire, high place of republican and imperial Rome. Inside, the Capitoline Museums are the oldest museums in the world and contain works dating back to Ancient Rome such as the famous “Capitoline Wolf”.
Campidoglio e Musei Capitolini
Il Campidoglio è il delizioso frutto del genio di Michelangelo Buonarroti. Nell’antichità, il Campidoglio era una collina sacra: sede del potere politico e religioso dell’impero, luogo alto della Roma repubblicana e imperiale. All’interno i Musei Capitolini sono i musei più antichi al mondo e contengono opere risalenti all’Antica Roma come la famosa “Lupa Capitolina”.

The Pantheon of Agrippa is the best preserved Roman building in the world, it is a perfect synthesis of harmony and constructive intelligence and no one had ever dared to carry out such work until the Renaissance, fourteen centuries later. Michelangelo referred to the Pantheon as a building that had “an angelic and non-human design”.

Michelangelo si riferì al Pantheon come ad un edificio che aveva “un disegno angelico e non umano”.
